Clerk of Courts Collections Program
The collections program was implemented in 1999. At the time, there
was a large backlog of uncollected fines and fees and no established
method of collection. The "Collection Program" was developed
for the purpose of providing an effective method for collection
of past due and current fines and fees imposed by the judicial system.
Today, the "Collection Program" handles over 80,000 cases
for the County and the State of Florida.
Computer programs were developed "in-house" to provide
information on daily outstanding accounts, trails for account receivables
and other accounting functions.
